The Intersection of Creativity and Young Voices, with The Creative Influencers

Welcome to The Wilderness of Creativity Christmas Series with special guests Participation and Engagement officer Tom Cable, and The Creative Influencers! (@creativeinfluencers_newark)

I lead a team called the Creative Influencers. They're a group of diverse young people (aged 13 - 17) from the Newark & Sherwood area. They use their creative skills to help make arts and heritage more accessible and relevant for other young people. They joined together as a team last year and have since used their performance skills and community outreach program to raise hundreds of pounds for charity, create protest banners calling for change, visit cities around the UK to experience some of the best live theatre and museums / galleries, created multi-lingual social media content which has attracted thousands of views on TikTok and Instagram. They've also helped to plan a sleepover event in the National Civil War Centre museum, curated a temporary exhibition after visiting local archives, and volunteered as ushers for theatre shows at the Palace Theatre Newark.

Thank you for listening!

Stay wild x
