Lucy Colgan is a seasoned creative leader, educator and podcast host with nearly two decades of experience in the arts and education. She holds a PGCE in Drama & Performing Arts and a Professional Diploma in Dance from Trinity Laban, and has worked as a freelance artist, project manager, and director across the creative sector.

She launched The Wilderness of Creativity in 2024 and invites listeners to explore what it really means to 'take the road less travelled' in creative life, combining vulnerability, practical insight and inspirational storytelling.

Lucy is a passionate creative thinker and advocate for the arts, dedicated to making a positive impact in her role as the Senior Leader and Senior Mental Health Lead. She leverages her extensive experience and creative voice to foster environments where every individual feels valued and empowered. Lucy actively explores the intersection of creativity and health, championing initiatives that promote mental well-being through artistic expression. Lucy holds a prestigious Jane Featherstone Fellowship from the University of Leeds, where she focused on Art Teacher Research and Practice, enhancing her understanding of how art can be a transformative tool in education and community building. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), a Member of the Chartered College of Teaching (MCCT), and has completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).
